What we collect
We collect information through the following website forms:
- Contact submissions — name, email, phone (optional), reason, and message.
- Job applications — name, email, phone, LinkedIn/portfolio URL (optional), résumé file, and cover note (optional).
- Café partner inquiries — café name, contact name, email, phone, city, and optional details (seating capacity, website).
- Event hosting inquiries — organizer name, email, phone (optional), event type, and event details.
- Collaboration inquiries — organization name, contact name, email, and proposal details.
- Newsletter signups — email address only, confirmed via a double opt-in link.
- App download requests — email or phone number, used only to send a download link.
The CafeConnects mobile app collects additional information (profile details, identity verification data, booking history) governed by the app’s own privacy notice shown during onboarding.
How we use it
We use the information above to respond to your inquiry, evaluate your job application, follow up on partnership or event proposals, send the confirmation and download emails you requested, and to understand which pages and channels drive these requests (internal analytics only).
How we store and protect it
Submissions are stored in a managed database over an encrypted connection. Résumé files are stored in private object storage — never a publicly accessible URL. All traffic to this site is encrypted (HTTPS). Job application data, including résumés, is retained only as long as needed to evaluate the application and is deleted or anonymized afterward according to our internal retention schedule.
Third parties
We use a transactional email provider to send confirmation and notification emails, a database hosting provider, and a website analytics provider. We do not sell your information to third parties.
Your rights
You can request access to or deletion of the information you’ve submitted to us by contacting us through our Contact page.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update the “Last updated” date above whenever this policy changes, and post the updated version here.
